Pokémon X and Y Walkthrough - Part 5 (Onwards to Santalune City)

As you arrive onto Route 3, you'll stop for a quick team meeting with all your friends, discussing what to do next. Trevor plans to go looking for new Pokémon for the Pokédex, Tierno wants to find some good Pokémon for dancing, Shauna is just happy to spend time with her cute li'l starter, and Calem suggests going off to challenge the Pokémon gym in the city just ahead. He even hands out a little adventure guidebook with some helpful hints of things every Pokémon trainer should know! How considerate! :')

As you head off down the short Route to Santalune City, they'll be several patches of grass hiding a few new Pokémon if you're eager to catch some!

There will also be a little pond area to your left near the forest exit, but unfortunately any Pokémon living over there will be unobtainable for now as you won't have a fishing rod or any Pokémon able to surf. When you get that, feel free to come on back to this route to catch them. You'll also find a Dawn Stone on the other side of the water so it's worth your time coming on back to surf across. Any Pokémon obtainable through the water in this area are also listed below for when you can come on back ;)

If you don't want to go crawling through the grass, there are a few preschoolers along the path who will be willing to challenge you. First You'll run into preschooler Oliver who has 2 Pokémon, a lv2 Caterpie and a lv4 Azurill. Soon after, you'll run into preschooler Ella, who has a lv5 Pichu.

Once you've made your way past the preschoolers, you'll be stopped at the bottom of the stairs to let a roller skater rush by ahead of you towards the city. You should also notice a nearby prickly thorn bush on the north side of the path. You'll be able to find a Revive behind it but unfortunately you won't be able to get past until one of your Pokémon learns the move Cut. If you follow the path you will find yourself in Santalune city but before that, if you head on south from the stairs you'll come to a Super Potion. There will also be a trainer or two for you to battle.  you'll run into school girl Bridget with a lv6 Bidoof. You'll have to go back through the grass on the left side, where you'll find schoolboy Brighton ready for a battle. He has each of the 3 elemental monkeys from the Unova region, Pansage, Pansear and Panpour, all at lv3. After these battles, your Pokémon might be just a bit tired, but fear not as your first glimpse of a Pokémon Centre is just ahead! Just make your way up out of the grass and onwards to Santalune City!

Pokémon X and Y Walkthrough - Part 3 (A Wild Pokémon Appeared!)

When you advance onto Route 2, you'll see a small patch of long grass that you'll have to walk through. You're guaranteed to run into a wild Pokémon as you make your way through it. Your Pokémon is of a higher level though so should be more than capable of rising to the challenge. If you bought any Pokéballs in Aquacorde Town you could try to catch the wild Pokémon, or defeat it if you prefer.

There are several species of wild Pokémon you can encounter along Route 2:
Caterpie - Pokémon Y Only*
Pidgey

Weedle - Pokémon X Only*

Zigzagoon
Fletchling

Bunnelby
Scatterbug

*(Don't worry if you can't catch either Caterpie or Weedle in this area due to the version you are playing as you'll still have the opportunity to find one in Santalune Forest up ahead.)

After your battle with the wild Pokémon, head forward to meet with your friends, Shauna and Calem. How convenient! You're just in time for Calem to teach you how to catch a Pokémon! He will also give you 10 Pokéballs to start you off on your catching spree ;)

Carrying on north through the rest of the tall grass, and remember to catch any Pokémon you want for your team. The more Pokémon you have with you, the stronger you can become. Don't worry about missing out on any experience if you catch a Pokémon rather than defeat it, because you'll still gain experience at the end of the battle, once the Pokémon is successfully captured.

As you near the end of Route 2 and the entrance to Santalune Forest, you'll be stopped by a young kid who, you guessed it, wants a Pokémon battle! Youngster Austin will have only 1 Pokémon, a lvl 5 Zigzagoon. You should already be a higher level than him so the battle shouldn't be too much of a problem for you. Obviously you can't catch other trainers' Pokémon, so you'll just have to defeat him. After Austin is down in defeat, you can smugly continue on your way, and into Santalune Forest.

Pokémon X and Y Walkthrough - Part 2 (Your First Pokémon!)

After a short, pleasant stroll through Route 1, you'll find yourself in Aquacorde Town, a small riverside town with a few shops that sell vital items to trainers... if only you had a pokémon!

As you enter Aquacorde, your new friends will call out to you. Head over to the west and you'll join them at a little outdoor table, where they're talking excitedly to each other. Once dated, Calem and Shauna will introduce you to some new faces: Tierno and Trevor. The group will then insist on thinking up a nickname for you. They will argue over a few potential names that you can choose, or you have the option to choose your own nickname instead. Afterwards, your friends quickly move on to the important stuff... picking a starter Pokémon! :D

You will have the choice of three Pokémon: Chespin, a Grass type; Fennekin, a Fire type; or Froakie, a Water type. Take your pick and if you want to, feel free to give your new partner a nickname. Trevor will then give you a very value tool... the Pokédex! This will allow you to record detailed information on any Pokémon you encounter and catch. Professor Sycamore has tasked you with a challenging mission to complete your Pokédex by finding every Pokémon in Kalos! Tierno will then give you an important letter to give to your mom from the Professor, before the team disperse. Trevor and Tierno rush off to start their journeys, while you're left to return home and deliver the letter to your mom.

As you exit Aquacorde though, you are quickly stopped by your eager new friend, Shauna, who can't wait to have her first Pokémon with you. Luckily, Shaun's Pokémon will be weak to the one you selected. You shouldn't have much of a problem if you use a move that's the same type as your Pokémon. This move will be colour coded to match the same colour of your Pokémon's type.

After the battle, Shauna will heal up your Pokémon and leave you to return home to Vaniville. Stop by and see your mum to deliver the letter. She'll also give you a few handy items such as a Potion, a Town Map, and even a spare change of clothes. As you leave, you'll also be given a nice farewell from Ryhorn who wants to send you on your way.

Return back to Aquacorde and begin your journey as a Pokémon Trainer! Before you head off though, feel free to take a quick look around the town. You can receive lots of advice from speaking to the townsfolk. You'll even receive a free Potion from one young man! Make sure to visit all the local shops as well to prepare yourself for your journey. When you feel ready, advance towards Route 2 (also known as Avance Trail).

Pokémon X and Y Walkthrough - Part 1 (A New Adventure!)

Welcome to the Kalos Region!

After your greeting from Professor Sycamore and telling him your name, gender and appearance, you will find yourself fast asleep in your new bedroom in Vaniville Town... That is, before you're rudely awakened by your cheeky pet Fletchling! Just because you've moved to a new house, doesn't mean you're gonna be allowed to sleep in after all.

Take a few moments to wipe all the sleep from your eyes and take a look around your bedroom. You should find a new Wii U system set up in the middle of the rug, and if you turn on the TV, you'll be able to watch movies, game shows, or something else that takes your fancy. And let's not forget the awesome Pikachu 3DS system you're holding and seem to have slept with! Now that's something to treasure, I think I'm a bit jealous... I want one!
If you head to your computer desk and press A, you can view a few helpful hints to get you started with your adventure too.

Unfortunately, you can't just sit in your room all day though, so head downstairs to meet your mum. She'll be happy to see you're finally awake, but suggests you should change out of your pyjamas before you leave... that might not be a bad idea actually! :')

Head back upstairs to your room and stand in front of the mirror near the TV. Press A in front of it to change out of your pyjamas and into your clothes. Yup, definitely an improvement :P

Sprint downstairs to speak to your mum again. She suggests you should head on outside and introduce yourself to your neighbours. Why not look around the rest of your home before you leave first though? You'll find a comfy sofa you can sit on (Yes! Sit on!), a coffee table and TV in the living room, and to the right behind the stairs you'll find your mum's room. Yup, your mum actually has her own room for once... who knows where she slept in the previous games... :/ haha

Once you're done checking out your home, head on out side. It won't take long for you to run into your neighbours... they're waiting right outside for you! Selena/Calem* and Shauna seem really friendly and are excited to meet you. They mention that Professor Sycamore has heard about your move to Kalos and invite you to join them in the neighbouring town, Aquacorde Town, to, yes, you herd right, receive your very own Pokémon!
*(Selena will be your neighbour if you're playing as a boy, and Calem will be your neighbour if you're playing as a girl. For this Guide, I will use Calem as the neighbour, as he is the neighbour in my play through)

Calem and Shauna have rushed off ahead of you to Aquacorde Town, but feel free to take your time exploring before heading after them. Why not take a while wandering around Vaniville, stopping by your neighbour's houses', and say hi to a few people? They might have some useful tips to share. You could even go turn on their TVs and watch a few informative programmes. They may also offer some hints for your adventure.

You could also take a walk over and check on your mum's Ryhorn asleep in the corner by your front door. If you want, go ahead and jump on its back! And in case you didn't know, while walking around, hold down the B button and you'll be able to run (Yup, for the first time you don't have to wait for any running shoes before you're able to sprint around!)

When you're ready, approach the gates in the middle of town and head on out on your way to Route 1 (appropriately named Vaniville Pathway), a short Path between Vaniville and Aquacorde Town.

Walkthrough Guides (What to Expect)

Welcome to my Walkthrough Guides Pokéfans!

It's time to start a brand new Pokémon adventure! Yay! :D

I will be aiming for complete, detailed walkthroughs over time of the main and post stories of any games I upload. I am aiming to start with a walkthrough of X and Y, and then Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire afterwards. If any other games come out that I play I will try and upload walkthroughs of those as well and if you have any Pokémon games you would like me to do a walkthrough for, please comment and let me know!
These walkthroughs will include any items to collect, trainers to battle (and their Pokémon's levels), and available Pokémon to obtain in every area!

These guides will be based on my own play through of the game, and with help from the Official Guidebooks which I sometimes use. If interested, you should be able to get any of the guides from company's such as Amazon.

So without further ado, let's begin our journey ;)
